It's
difficult finding time to update the blog daily but it is a place where I can
waffle on, although I really do not want to bore you. Since Day 14, Hole#3 I
have spoken with EQC/Insurance and City Council.
The other day I rang EQC to explain about not having Kitchen services and they looked up their records but were not able to tell me much, and there was no names of any contractors dealing with Hole# 3. Although Fletchers gave approval for the patio to be ripped up, althought I mentioned in last post that maybe they are fighting over who pays for what again, I dont see that to be the case as they will take it out of any money I receive from them, so whats the hold up is, sorry no idea how to finish this sentence.
Followed up with Insurance as they said to contact them if nothing heard after two weeks, as per my other post. They advised that the DRA report is now back with the Area Managers for approval. (From what I remember last time I was told these guys have it maybe two days then the decision is sent out), still waiting.
I have not rang the contractor who ripped up the decking to get to the back lateral pipes as I am only vaguley told info that leaves more questions than answers. Here I was thinking if I don't annoy them for a while, things may happen, thats a load of poppy cock!
My last resort was back to the City Council as the guy who helped to find out what was going on was pro active and got things rolling, well for a short while. It took quite a while to track this person down today as the Council did not know who I was referring to. But I did receive a call back. I told him that once again when I use the shower, the tray starts filling up, and outside in the gutter there appears to be the soapy water. He said that this water was probably from the conditions in the area, but was surprised when I said the water was soapy and it was straight after my shower. He is going to find out whats going on and get back to me.
I can deal with these conditions but the time comes when one has had enough, I am running out of what takeaway food to get, but must admit I often forget I cant turn the tap on in the kitchen as it goes straight in the opening where the hole in the patio is. Things are getting harder now, at work the branch I run is going to be unsettled again as contractors will be coming in to do major work for earthquake damage, and this is something I would rather not put my staff through again, and knowing that how things run rests on my shoulders does take a toll as I want to do the best by them that I can, and with the way things are at home life is very different to how it used to be. And it comes at a time when I will soon receive my insurance decision, there is never time to do everything, Merry Xmas!
In one of my posts I mention about going over to the river to escape life, and I continually still do and love it so much, maybe a little too much, as now I need even more hours in the day. But this is my one pleasure in life, and they cant take that away from me. It is something I never thought I so enjoy and when I think about it, its exhilarating, especially when I do get to put the blog up of what I have found and what I never expected to have in my hands, things so old and that were on this earth when no man was.
YAY I bought a camera (yes as you may have gathered shopping is not on any of my lists for the last year), but this will be the thing that will keep me sane, but with one exception. The camera I got has no XDCard yet so cannot take pics, but managed to quickly try it out and take three pics, which yes ya guessed it, under the house. I put my hand through and snapped the camera as wanted to see if the other dead thing was still there. Got home tonight and zoomed in closer to the pic on the camera and was surprised to see what looks to be a bone, maybe the camera is playing tricks. Unfortunately I cant put the pic on my laptop as dont have the Card or a USB connector yet.
Soon as I get the XDCard I have to stick my hand in the broken vents to get some more pics as I can see from the pic I took that theres some weird stuff gathering up one of the piles. It is black and looks to be alive, and it is in a few places over the pile, with long body like matter. Took a look at older pics and there was only signs of dirty black marks on the pile. God only knows what germs these are. One looks to have a long thin body. Zooming in even more, the clear looking mounds I can just see look to have lines in them and are gathering by the dead thing. Yukky its under my bedroom and other places. Its a shame that what I see in the pics when I zoom in, I cant capture it at that closeness to show you.
To make things a little tougher,
someone who did not approve of something I achieved in my life sent another
nasty letter, mentioning things that should never be said to anyone, in the past
I have ignored but at times, like tonight, when everything is weighing down, it
got the better of me. This hurts a lot, but then what hurts worse at the moment
I have no idea, but I do know there are people who rely on me, so I need to be
strong. In all my years I have never really known when my body is beyond tired
and have plodded on, but last week I realised it had finally happened. A blood
vessel burst in my eye and it showed me how tired I am. That night (Friday) I
fell asleep and never woke till 10am Saturday morning. I couldnt believe it,
havent done that since I was hungover and had not long moved into this house.

On a finishing note one of the
few rose bushes left standing along the fornt fence bloomed, bad cos it bought
more bees, (I thought bees went home after the sun went down, I am sure their
GPS radar is targeted for blondes), but good as it reminded me of how things
were.
One last thing, can any of you work out what this is? A sneak preview of one of my finds, there are embedded claws and a spongey pad underneath.................
