| Looking at these pics, if you zoom in you can see the flies, but my other pics are going up on Flickr |
My mum was cooking tea for us,and I would pick it up after work, as the drain is collapsed and water drains under the house and god knows where else. I assure you I have been searching for the outlet in my property and trying to follow the smells.
| The 'rudely named hole I referred to and to the very right is the mound |
This morning I thought I would take a couple of pics with my hand through the broken vents to see if anything had changed. Was surprised to see a mound of silt near the 'vagina' opening under the house (Pardon my words but this is what it has became known as), this was not there last time I took pics and that is often. there seems to be a ditch/hole by it, and its not an appetising thought when going to bed as its right under where I sleep. I took more pics to get a better look, maybe some animal was digging up the wall but cant quite make out the marks. No idea why an animal would try to dig out from under there when theres plenty of broken foundation vents to go through. Other pics showed how wet and unhygenic under there is, very surprised that we have not been sick more often, but suppose that will slowly develop. These pics are best viewed full screen to get the real picture
Then tonight got home from work and yuk, the front of the house had big blow flies over it, captured some pics but when I got close some flew away. It looked sick and disgusting, there goes my tea. They were probably around that area more due to the dead cat, but there is bits of some other dead thing under there by my bedroom, and the sewage is probably attracting them as. It has been approx 2 months since the cats body has been under there. Noone wants to get it out, but now it is a horror scene in itself. I have pics of it but they are too gross to have them up on here. I can't open my window in my room either as they are all around there, sick sick sick!
Today, Sunday just had a look and ewwww they are up the side of the house on my sons bedroom side, some around the back on the lawn and fences, on the plants out the front, even on the road cone and its going to be a hot day. not sure if you will see in the above pics, but when I zoomed in, there they were, flies all under the house
I can't walk around the outside of the house without cringing, the bees, the flying insects, all the blow flies, the hole that the council have sorted which shows more broken pipes, the drain by the kitchen to the top with disgusting water/silt/waste, my appetite for food is less in these conditions. Silly me I just had to get pics through the vents of under the house which grossed me but fascinated me at the same time. When I go to bed I know whats right under me. One thing ladies.'Never look at pics of under your house, you will never look at your house the same again. And yes I have been on all fours peering between the boards in the patio with a torch trying to find where the waste is all going but havent found it yet, but can see where the concrete has lifted and separated under there due to the liquefaction and I don't even like walking on the patio now as some of the boards are opening a little more and I know whats under there and are freaked that some strange insects will pop out. It is very uncomfortable around here now, so I resort to my fav hobby the Heathcote River tow path track. Today I'm off to take a closer look, we found a 1920's Bonningtons Irish Moss Coughs & Cold bottle the other other, and it even has the original cork in it. Must do a blog on my finds.
